Rules and regulations: OTT Cinema Awards and OTT Film Festival Of India

(Celebrating a 16-Year Legacy of Artistic Journey)

1. Eligibility & Participation

International Submissions: Films in any language are welcome. English subtitles are mandatory.

National/Regional Submissions: Films from all regions of India are eligible.

Production Year: Films of any year, whether released or unreleased on OTT platforms, may be submitted.

Purpose: The festival aims to promote aspiring filmmakers and celebrate content across OTT digital platforms.

Accepted Categories:

Feature Films: Theatrical release or unreleased

Web Feature Films: Made specifically for OTT platforms

Children’s Feature Films: Content suitable for children

Women Documentary Feature Films

Student Feature Films

Web Series

Short Films

Student Short Films

Note: All rules, terms, and conditions of the OTT Cinema Award are applied equally across all categories,whether for short films, web series, feature films, OTT films, documentary films, or music videos.

2. Screening Format

Video File: Submit as .mov, .mp4, etc.

Codec: Apple ProRes, H.264, or other standard codecs.

Resolution: 1080p, 2K, or 4K.

Aspect Ratio: Full HD or CinemaScope.

Other Formats: Must be approved in advance; compatibility must be confirmed.

3. Categories & Duration

Feature Films: Over 60 minutes

General Feature Film: Fiction, drama, animation, social, or environmental themes

Web Feature Film: Made for OTT platforms

Children’s Feature Film: Suitable for children

Feature Film – Special Women: Directed or produced by women

Feature Film – Student: Made by student filmmakers

Short Films

General Short Film: Up to 45 minutes (all genres)

Short Film (Long): 5 to 45 minutes

Short Film (Small): Under 5 minutes

Short Film – Open Category: Up to 30 minutes

Smartphone Short Film: 1 to 20 minutes (shot entirely on mobile phones)

Documentaries

General Documentary: Over 30 minutes (biographical, social, musical, cultural, etc.)

Documentary – Special Women: Up to 30 minutes, directed or produced by women

Web Series

Episode Duration: 20 to 40 minutes

Judging: Only one best episode should be submitted

Music Videos

Duration: Up to 10 minutes

Open to all themes, genres, languages, and styles

4. General Terms

Judging: All entries will be judged by an official jury panel.

Awards: Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Director, Best Writer, Best Screenplay, Best Dialogue Writer, Best Cinematographer, Best Sound Designer, Best Editor.

Public Screenings: Additional fees may apply.

Category Changes: Organizers reserve the right to add, remove, or modify award categories.

Finality: Jury and selection committee decisions are final and binding.

Web Series: All episodes must be submitted for review; only trailers or select scenes will be publicly showcased.

5. Submission Process

Method: Online or via courier (pen drive only).

Platforms: Vimeo, YouTube, or Google Drive (with download access and password if applicable).

Trailer: Mandatory for all submissions (maximum 2 minutes).

Multiple Submissions: Each submission requires a unique email ID.

Fees: Each entry requires a separate submission fee.

6. Poster & Synopsis

Poster: Required for all submissions.

Synopsis: Brief synopsis (maximum 200 words) required.

Third-Party Agencies: Direct contact information of the filmmaker must be included.

7. Screening Material Submission

Selected Films: Must provide final screening copy and promotional materials upon request.

Content: Must be free of advertisements.

8. Promotion & Marketing

Selected Entries: Will receive complimentary social media promotion.

Editing Rights: Festival reserves the right to edit and present promotional material as appropriate.

9. Withdrawal Policy

Once Submitted: Entries cannot be withdrawn under any circumstances.

10. Selection Announcements

Listings: Officially selected entries will be published on the Short Film Mantra Organization’s website and social media platforms.

11. Refunds & Disqualification

Fees: All submission fees are non-refundable.

Disqualification: Entries with false claims or copyright violations will be disqualified without refund.

12. Financial Terms

Passes & Fees: Delegate passes, screening fees, and sponsorship contributions are non-refundable.

Cancellation: No refunds will be granted in case of cancellation due to natural calamities or unforeseen events.

13. Attendance & Hospitality

Filmmakers: Shortlisted filmmakers are encouraged to attend.

Accommodation: Travel and accommodation are not provided; discounted hotel assistance is available upon request.

14. Material Costs

Participants: Responsible for all shipping, publicity, and promotional material costs.

Trophies/Certificates: Any shipping charges, customs duties, or taxes related to trophies or certificates must be borne by the recipient.

16. Declaration & Jurisdiction

Rights & Authorization: By submitting a film, the applicant affirms they possess all necessary rights and permissions (script, music, visuals, etc.).

Authorization: The applicant authorizes the OTT Cinema Awards and Short Film Mantra Organization to screen and promote their work on various platforms.

Liability: Organizers are not liable for any copyright violations.

Script/Screenplay: All scripts must be original; adaptations must be accompanied by valid rights and proof of ownership.

Indemnification: The applicant agrees to indemnify the OTT Cinema Awards and OTT Film Festival Of India, Short Film Mantra Organization, and partners against any legal claims or disputes related to their submission.

Legal Jurisdiction: All legal matters fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Surat, Gujarat, India.
